Love Island host Sophie Monk reveals unexpected medical diagnosis – says this explains why she ‘failed so badly’ in school










She is a singer, actress and model known in Australia for over two decades.

But Sophie Monk admitted that she “never thought” that she could succeed, after failing “badly” in school.

‘I now know I have attention deficit disorder [ADD]’, the 41-year-old admitted to Who magazine this week.

After losing confidence in herself, Sophie turned to the stage.

“I relied on that and my sense of humor to get it through,” the London-born star said.

Sophie then spoke about her long career as an artist, which began in the reality TV series Popstars in 2000, has included roles in Hollywood blockbusters and now sees her host TV franchises like the next Beauty and the Geek.

“Every day I feel blessed and lucky to have found something that I can do,” she said.

Sophie announced her engagement to Joshua Gross in January.

The former Bardot star revealed earlier this week that the couple “wanted children” in the future, but admitted the topic was “difficult to broach.”

“It’s hard to talk about it. Everyone has an opinion on this, so I’m keeping it a little bit low-key. But of course we want children!

She froze her eggs two years ago, a move she says relieves the pressure a bit.

“I have them as a back-up! She added.

Sophie told the Kyle and Jackie O Show in March that the couple will consider adopting a child if they have trouble getting pregnant.

She said: “If you couldn’t we would make a different plan, but I have loads of frozen eggs.”

Sophie and Josh confirmed their engagement on Jan.15.

The couple first met on a Europe-Australia flight in August 2018 and shared a kiss after tasting “three champagnes” in business class.

They got closer when Joshua helped Sophie recover after endometriosis surgery in November. Around this time, she also began the process of freezing her eggs.

Sophie admitted in July 2019 that she was hopeful Joshua would come up with, sharing a revealing post on Instagram on their second birthday.

“Happy birthday @joshuargross, I can’t believe you put up with me for two years,” she wrote.

“I love you so much and you are my best friend in the world … I can’t wait to marry you (hint).”
